Xu Hui: Cross-strait relations read from Tsai Ing-wen's speech

To the surprise of many people, Tsai Ing-wen first chose to make a formal talk on New Year's Day after he took office. In addition to vowing to fight for the economy and people's livelihood, the content of the essay focuses on the current cross-strait relations, which is not common in Tsai Ing-wen's previous important speeches. Obviously, Tsai Ing-wen’s New Year’s Day conversation and Xi Jinping’s commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the publication of the Taiwan Compatriots’ Book have the meaning of “smashing the stage”. This is very common in the history of cross-strait propaganda.
